Oakline is private shared housing for adult women who live independently and manage their own daily needs. We provide housing only. No clinical services, no case management, no supervision. Just a clean, furnished, all inclusive home.
Oakline is for any adult woman who can live independently and has her rent covered. You may have come through a health crisis, a housing disruption, or a major life transition. What matters is that you are ready for a clean, structured, women-only environment and that you can manage your own daily personal needs without assistance from Oakline staff.
Many Oakline residents receive Social Security Disability Insurance (SSDI). These are women who worked, paid into the system, and now need stable, affordable housing while managing a health condition. SSDI income provides a reliable monthly foundation, and Oakline's all-inclusive rate is designed to work within it. Some residents also work part-time under Social Security's Trial Work Period rules.
What matters to Oakline is that your housing costs are covered and you are ready to live independently. Whether rent is covered by employment, SSDI, SSI, a representative payee, a family member, or another source, if you can manage your own daily life and commit to the house standards, Oakline is a fit.
Women who have served deserve a dignified, stable place to land. Oakline provides independent housing for female veterans building their civilian lives on their own terms.
Oakline homes are drug, alcohol, and smoke free indoors. We do not provide recovery services or supervision. Residents maintain their own lifestyle independently within a structured, sober household. Smoking is not permitted inside the home or in shared spaces.
Affordable, all inclusive shared housing for independent older women who value community, a consistent mailing address, and a worry free living environment without the burden of managing bills.
We partner with social workers, housing coordinators, and referral coordinators across Chicagoland. If a caseworker has a woman who is ready for independent living, Oakline is ready to receive the referral.
Important: Oakline provides housing only. We do not provide medical care, therapy, supervision, case management, or any clinical services. Residents must be capable of independent living and managing their own daily personal needs. Any outside support arrangements are made independently by the resident through her own providers.
